September '07 brought the Brazos Valley Fall Gathering Ranch Rodeo. Again the Knights of Columbus succeeded in bringing another WRCA sanctioned rodeo to the area. Thanks to all who helped! Anyone who captured a picture of our chairman on his fanny in the arena please contact me so we may display this for the world to see!!!

 Jim, Dwight, Don and I traveled to Dalton Minnesota (1140 miles) to shoot Geese. We met Art and David upon arrival and had a great hunting adventure. The pictures are good but can't give the true flavor of the food we ate and the company we shared!!  Yea, sure, it was a great time!!!

August 2007

Vacation in Colorado  (check back more to come this is just the beginning)  (Jeep ride, hiking, cooking ,mountain pictures, lake.......) Great time with great friends.

Time to go home. We did not want to go but we had to leave.  We did take our time going home and stayed two more nights on the road. Palo Duro Canyon was one of these stops.

 The only ones left for the last few days were Bill, Steve and me (Rosi). We had to climb one mountain. So we did and it was great. On the way we met two kayakers walking down the trail carrying kayaks and they said that if we waited a few moments they would be coming down the river.  I looked at the river and thought that it was not possible but we stayed and waited. Wow! They did it, and it did not look so hard.

Now to the Jeep ride. We took two jeep rides up the mountain and it was beautiful and a lot of fun. August is when the wild flowers bloom. The first time was with Linda and Bill. The second trip was with Dwight and Barbara.

 Here are some more pictures going down the mountain on the train. There are no other roads that lead through these mountains. If you own some land in this area, the only way up or down is by train.

On August 3rd 2007           we left for Durango shopping.  Some how I did not take any pictures in Durango but they had the best French Bakery ever.  After a wile we went to the visitor center and asked what we need to see and do in this area. There they told us  to go to Mesa Verde and that was supposed to be good for 1/2 day. Well it was very nice but I think we all could have spent more time there.

We left Santa Fe on  Thursday 8/2/2007  for Colorado. Our Camp ground was close to the Vallecilo  Lake.  Her are a few pictures from the camp and the set up.  Then we cooked  hamburgers.  Some how they just taste better when cooked outside.

Next we are going to Santa Fe    And Just a small movie
