2007 Going to Galveston We have had our motor home for 2 months now and it was time to take a long road trip. Galveston was our choice so we made reservations in the state park. After getting through the Houston traffic, we arrived on Monday April 30th. After setting up we had to explore the island and bought some fresh shrimp for our first meal. Bill Langlitz and his daughter Linda accompanied us with their motor home. So we feasted the first night with sautéed shrimp over pasta. Over the next few days we walked the beach, shopped on the strand, went to Moody Gardens to the rain forest and the aquarium, explored the submarine (Bill and Steve) and road the ferry. We ate more shrimp and oysters all week. What a busy week!  All went well with the motor home and I think we are ready for even a longer trip!
